The Pinits of Portland.

Reading Goodnight Moon with Grandpa is a great treat before bedtime.

Look at what a big boy I am Grandma!

Blowing kisses with mommy, mwah!

Grandma Verna and Grandpa Phil came out to visit me in my new house over Memorial Day weekend, yay!

Extreme close up! Waaaaaaaaah!

Upside down baby! Remember my rocker from Arby and Jodi when I was an infant? Look how I've filled it out!

One of the perks of our new neighborhood is the jungle gym (aka Toddler Town) right by our house!

Think I can give Gene Simmons a run for his money?

Somebody hit snooze on that alarm!

Here I am fully clothed and attempting to sort more shapes.

Babies tend to sort shapes better with no clothes on. It's a medical fact.

Yeah, this is the way you go up this thing....

Know what was even cooler? Our friends Josh, Shawna and Rachel moved into a new house too! We went over for a little BBQ.

Moving boxes can make for very fun playspaces.

Settling into my new home.

And there he goes!

Grandpa taking me for a spin in the lawn mower box. Daddy needs to mow the lawn soon!

My first meal at the new digs.

And here we are at the new house in Bethany, on the northwest side of Portland! Grass!

Grandpa just loves chatting with me.

Nana, me, and Tiffany enjoying the outdoors.

I think Tiffany wants to have some of my snacks.

Uncle Tony is introducing me to Tiffany, one of their two Yorkshire terriers (the other is Polo). My newest furry friends!

I stayed with my Nana and Grandpa's friends, Auntie Pan and Uncle Tony, in Lake Oswego, just down the hill from our soon-to-be old condo.

The weekend of the big move! Nana and Grandpa flew in from Baltimore to take care of me for the weekend while Mommy and Daddy did all the heavy lifting. Well, we DID hire a mover.

Hi, I'm Millie Moo! I am a crazy cow.

Just kickin' it with a cool drink and some mints.

Yum, mud!

Still not too sure about the waves and water.

Mommy is taking me out towards the "ocean", whatever that is! Santa Barbara sure is beautiful isn't it?

Do you like my sun hat? Too bad Daddy had to shrink it in the dryer.

Ok, the other weird stuff is this "sand" on the "beach"? It feels like the stuff in Duffy's litter box (just kidding).

Cruising around the fireplace in our hotel in Ventura, CA.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Exploring the grass at the Santa Barbara mission. I've never really experienced it before living in a condo. Weird.

Stearns Wharf in Santa Barbara.

In the middle of our house buying/selling, we decided to take a weekend trip to Santa Barbara, CA! Ok, the trip was planned well before we decided to move. Wouldn't you know the weekend we went down there it was cold!

Daddy is a great napping partner.

I love my mommy.

I am a little rookie, at least my shirt tells me so.

So many blocks, so little time....

Well, we decided our condo in Lake Oswego just wasn't going to be big enough for the three of us. So, we put our place up for sale. Here I am investigating the intricacies of the plastic booties people were to wear when touring our condo.

My friend Tima came all the way down from Seattle to see me, we had a grand old time!

Rest.

So cool man!

Daddy is pointing out the giraffes with their really long necks, so cool!

Here's Mommy teaching me about elephants, her favorite aminal.

Here we are inside the elephants home.

Uncle Ray came all the way from Baltimore to meet me for the first time! And better yet, we all went to the Oregon Zoo! Yay!

Me and Daddy getting some work done on the laptop--not.

Still no teeth at age 8 months (end of March).

More pulling up to standing.

Naked baby in basket alert! Sorry, this blog is rated "G".

Don't you just love me in my sweater vest?

Okay, so I have a lot of catching up to do to tell you about what I've been up to for the past few months. But my mom caught me on tape tonight and she really just wanted me to share it with you.

It might take a minute for it to load, but it's worth it. I am hilarious. (Just click on the picture below.)

More soon. I promise.
Love,
Casey P.

It's been awhile.
Hello to all my loyal blog readers! Sorry I've been away from the laptop lately, the Wi-Fi's not too strong in my crib. We've been really busy lately, with the most exciting news being a new home in the near future! More details on that later as it becomes official. Stay tuned and enjoy!

Yeah, I'm not too sure about this cold white stuff yet.

An unusual sight for Portland--3 inches of snow!

I can also stand and play piano!

Big orange ball. Yum.

One of my newest tricks is pulling myself up to standing, as demonstrated here on this Longaberger basket.

All I'm asking for is....whirled peas.

Boy, that was a tiring photo shoot! I got to model some handmade baby clothes, check out my cool hat!

Just a little nap Daddy, just a little nap....

Happy Valentine's Day y'all!

Grandpa really loves me too.

Me and Mommy having a nice afternoon snooze together.

I am such a happy baby!

I love my Nana.

Clowning around with Grandpa.

Nana is having such a great time feeding me my dinner. She and Grandpa stopped by in Portland on their way back from Thailand in early February.

I can be such a ham sometimes. Who do you think I got that trait from?

So fresh and so clean!

I am now completely mobile and exploring every inch of the kitchen, living room, bathroom, closet....look out Duffy!

I love this game!

My big day at First Unitarian Church. Today was a big day for me. I took part in the Child Dedication ceremony at First Unitarian Church here in Portland this morning, along with about 20 other kids. It was really a moving and exciting experience. I know Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed the ceremony. This is what the church members read aloud to us:

We, the members and friends of the First Unitarian Church, welcome these children into our midst. We will help these parents prepare their children to be independent adults, aware of the world as it is and as it ought to be, aware of the power of one dedicated individual to change its course, aware of the power of love to overcome tragedy, evil and injustice.

This is Reverend Marilyn dedicating me before the whole congregation and giving me a white rose. It was really something special.

Havin' fun with my tractor and farm "aminals".

Snoozin'.

Like the bib says, "Let's Eat!"

Or drink! And yes, that is prune juice in the sippy cup.

I am really starting to explore my bathtub. Water sure is funny stuff!

Having a grand ole' time!

I think it's more fun when I pull these magnets off the fridge....

My friend Amy is really great at feeding me my dinner!

Yum, yam!

Slobber is my friend.

I'm really getting good at this whole eating solids thing! I've already tried rice, oatmeal, apples, squash, pears, yams, and bananas.

One of my favorite activities is playing with these magnet toys in the kitchen while Mom and Dad are making dinner.

Hi everybody!

If I bang on this thing enough times, maybe it will work....

My daddy is so silly sometimes, I just love hanging out with him.

Check out the cool hat my friend Heather made me! It even matches my fleece pants!

Giddy Up!

Good times with Great Grandma and Grandpa Kurtz.

Grandma's kitchen sink is the perfect bath tub for me and this rubber duckie.

Good times with Great Grandma and Grandpa "Herbie."

My Great Great Grandma Nora and my cousins. Grandma makes me giggle and she gives some of the best kisses I've had so far.

My Christmas Day hat. I'm thinking it will be a family tradition for me to wear it every year and have some fun (how could you not have fun in such at hat?). Mary Menze made this for me.

Katie is showing me the different shapes in my toolbox. One of these days I'll have them all figured out.

Jake shows me how this Twirlin' Whirlin' Turtle works. He really did teach me how to do it myself.

Hanging out with Alyssa. She gives me so much love, having cousins is fantastic!

Oh, I can't wait to see what's in these packages!

Our First Christmas as a family of three. This ornament from Uncle Chris and Aunt Julie's family has all our names on it.

Santa Baby.

No doubt about it. I am my mother's son. Already getting the feel of the ice cream scoop. Yum.

Here's Daddy trying to handle all my presents. Next year he's going to have to leave it to me to take care of the unwrapping.

If it looks as good as it tastes...

Digging into my first stocking full of presents. Santa dropped these off early to our house since we were going to be at Grandma and Grandpa Kurtz's house on Christmas Day.

Nana and Grandpa Pinit sent me this book. It's a real page turner!

Lots of action to take part in on Christmas Eve with the Rekewegs. My cousins are too much fun.

Me and my dad in our big boy shirts.

Reading my book.

This is what Mama calls a Money Shot. Am I cute or what?

...and I love Grandpa. All of them.

While Mom and Dad get ready for work in the morning, I play on their bed with some of my favorite toys.

Sharing my toys with Rachel.

Cutie Patootie.

A New experience - solid food.
Daddy and Mama mixed up some cereal for me tonight. It is a whole new thing for me, and to be honest, I'm not sure what I think about it. But I know it's okay, because Mom and Dad both tasted it and said it's real good for me. I think I swallowed some of it, but I need some more time to get used to it.
