I'm a boy! My name is Casey Panya Pinit, and I was born on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at 9:28 PM. I weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. and measured 21 inches at birth. "Panya" is Thai for wisdom.
We got home last night Friday around 7 PM. Everybody is doing really great, just tired from the whole adventure. Mommy did an incredible job of helping me find my way into the new world. Daddy really helped support her and give her the strength to go on. Not to mention all the incredible nurses and midwives at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon! Here's some first pictures of me, stay tuned for more!

I'm just not ready yet!
I know, I know, the due date was two days ago, but you all know that's just a guess, right? I'm still feeling very cozy here in Mommy's belly, and that's where I plan on staying until the time is just right.
Today we went for a check-up and Mary (the midwife)says that everything is fine - as long as I am still kicking as usual - I can stay for two more weeks if I want to. We also learned that I don't really have to worry about getting Mommy's cold - or the one she gave Daddy - since Mommy has been giving me antibodies to fight it off. Whew! That's all I need is a runny nose along with all the other goop I have to deal with in here.
So, Mommy and I are just hanging out at home. She is getting ready to pull out some new projects to work on while she waits because daytime TV is too boring. Yesterday she finished knitting a sweater for me. But she and Dad both agreed that if I am not a girl, it might have to be worn by some other baby who is a girl. And I'm just gonna keep 'em guessing...
