I'm a big boy!
Today was our 2-week checkup appointment with our pediatrician Dr. Carr (http://www.portlandpediatric.com/staff/doctors.html). She's such a nice lady! I don't particularly like the cold room and bright lights, but it's ok. I did really well with the PKU blood test, one poke of the heel and I was asleep again.

Everyone tells me I'm growing really well! My weight is now up to 8 lbs. 3 oz., and my height is 21.25 inches. It must be all the nutritious food Mommy and Daddy have been feeding me these past two weeks.

My next checkup will be in about 6 weeks. In the meantime, keep on the look out for more stories and pictures as I grow!

Working on my smile muscles.

Enjoying the view from the living room window. A few days ago we saw a squirrel on the deck!

Nothing beats a nap with my dad.

I am so loved.
We've had a busy week - going to the doctor, shopping for diapers, resting, and eating. And in between, we've been getting lots of phone calls and messages and cards and gifts from our family and friends.

Nana and Grandpa Pinit sent us a message today with blessings from Bhante G, Bhante Rahula, and Ajahn Jayasaro. They have sent their congratulations and compliments on the selection of my name!

Daddy's coworkers sent us a very generous gift this week. He can't stop talking about how great Kennedy/Jenks is. It won't be long before I am big enough to play in the Baby Einstein Activity Center. (I know the crib sheets are important too, but I think Mom and Dad will appreciate them more than I will).

We are quite a lucky family to have so many people care about us.

Yesterday Mommy and I had a coffee date with our friends Deonne and Devlin. I'm pretty sure we showed up, but I can't be positive because I was asleep the whole time. I didn't have to be awake to know what Mom and Deonne talked about anyway...all they ever want to talk about is BABIES!

Devlin is a big boy now (I can't wait to go to his 1st birthday party next month), but some day I'll catch up with him a bit and we can play together. That will be more fun than listening to our moms talk about us.

Mommy thinks I look like Uncle Chris and cousin Jake in this photo. I think I have a "Kurtz" nose...what do you think?

My forehead is a landing pad for kisses. Mommy and Daddy just can't get enough of me. How can you blame them?

Hanging out with Daddy is one of my favorite things to do. I like to look at myself in the mirror.
